And I am a firm...Sounds like your shrink is great. And I am a firm believer in avoiding arguments and conflicts whenever possible. When I sense a brick wall or wrong turn approaching, I use my magic phrase, "Maybe you're right". This has the doubly satisfying effect of ending the argument while not admitting right or wrong.
