Our little pumpkin does a dance

Maude brought this outfit for Jordan to wear for Halloween.I took a bunch of pictures while he had it on, because he looked so cute, but won't be wearing it again.

I tried it on him, and it fit - but barely and not really. And at the rate he's going, I'm quite sure that by the end of the month, he'll be even bigger. He's already at the end of 0-3 month clothes.

He could probably wear it, as long as he didn't mind keeping his toes and legs bent and having his little nutsack squozen.

In other words, I'm looking for a costume.

  2. you need to follow up this post with one about sleepless nights or picking poop off balls or something because my ovaries just started humming.

  3. Your boy is incredibly cute dressed as a pumpkin. Really, it's a shame his balls won't fit come Halloween.

A character from Where the Wild Things Are? A great children's book and there's a movie out now - there's bound to be a costume baby-sized.

  4. Oh, my. That's a pretty cute pumpkin you have there.

My favorite photo of my nephew is of him in his honeybee costume. But that might have more to do with the "Um, really, mom?" look on his face than the costume itself...

  6. how frikkin cute! to me baby costumes are the best because they have ZERO say in it. you've only got about 2-3 years to dress them up in what you want them to wear, after that they have opinions (i dare you to argue with a 3 yr old about what they'll be for halloween).
so go with something RIDICULOUSLY ADORABLE! i'm partial to the little skunk outfits myself : )

  8. I'm not really sure what you wrote in this post because I was too busy saying things like "zomg he's so adorable the wittle cutie!!!" a lot.

And I just melted from all his cuteness!

  9. What a cutie!! It's a little sad how fast they grow, isn't it? I get misty-eyed when I clean out my guy's drawers and put away onsies that no longer fit. *sniff*

Anyway, go to buycostumes.com. They have a ton of infant costumes to choose from, and they're adorable.

  12. A...wait for it...dorable!

My sis-in-law dressed her twins in pea pod costumes (two peas in a pod) for their first All Hallows Eve. That was enough to make even me go "Awwww."

I'd go for a sheriff's costume, as in "There's a new sheriff in town," ... in you house.

  13. Rindy - When you make it out to DC, you'll meet him! He'll love you!

    A.S. - Thank you.:)

Hillary - There are lots of sleepless nights and atrocious amounts of poo. How's that?

HKW - THAT is a super cute idea! I wonder where I find one. Must look...

Dagny - That's hilarious. Really, mom?!

Kate - Thanks! It does look like he's modeling. He was having a good time, I think because I was making such a big deal over the whole thing.

notsojenny - You make a very, very good point. And I didn't realize that all that kicked in by age three! I don't have long!

kayare - Yah. If I had a nutsack, I'd hate to have it squozen.

Marie - Hahaha! I love hearing that!

Luna - It is completely shocking. I have been putting the first teeny-tiny clothes away.

    I will check that out!

LJ - Happy birthday to him! 22!

Go-Betty - I bet he's very cute, just in a different way. And I am so excited about the movie! I love that book!

FoggyDew - Two peas - so cute! And I think my brother was a sheriff one year. Boys love that kind of thing.

  15. Cutest costume I've seen is the candy corn one, the hat just makes it the best. I also saw one that looked like a corn on the cob, I guess it's a good thing they don't have a say, huh?
Cutest one we have is for the dog, she went as Elvis one year. She even posed like she was howling, made it perfect. Still looking for a pirate one for my cat with the "pirate pants", kinda surprised they didn't have one at the Pirate festival a few weeks ago. (My husband will not be seen with animals in costumes, as cute as they are)

  16. I was a yellow M&M for my first Halloween and my mother went all out, little "M" stickers on my cheeks and everything. Apparently, I cried like a crazy person when she ripped them off (I mean, of COURSE I DID), which in turn made her feel like a horrible mother. And, because I'm a devilish child, I like to remind her about it every October.

Speaking of, I'm off to call her right now... :)

And cute plush microbes for him to play with later-- you can give him ebola, syphillis, herpes, rabies, etc!
