Reserving space in the handbasket to H-E-double toothpicks

We have these plastic baby spoons and it says you can dishwasher them on the top shelf.
Which is good because we have 73 trillion baby-feedy things to wash every time we turn around.

And yes, I like to use dishwasher as a verb.

But these spoons, they fall through the top shelf. So I take my chances and stick them in the silverware thing.

Sometimes this doesn't work out so well.So now we have a Thalidomide spoon.

  1. Bahahaha! I'm laughing with you, not at you. I'm so glad that you're having fun as a mom. Because if it isn't fun, well, you can fill in the blanks.

  2. Hmmm... It's a baby spoon, so it isn't long enough to be a back scratcher... But it kind of looks like one.

  4. Lisa - Fun and not fun. Both in extremes. As you know.

VVK - Maybe a baby back scratcher? His back isn't that big.

Dagny - Yes! Sort of. It's not exactly prongy, and the back of the spoon is all smooshed in a lump on the back of the, uh, spork.

  6. Wow. Just wow. You made a seal baby joke. I wonder how old you have to be to get that reference? Maybe just old enough to remember learning all the words to "We didn't start the fire."

Perhaps you need one of those top rack (heh heh heh heh) silverware thingys. Why not just use a silver spoon? It has natural anti-bacterial properties, but it's not dishwasher safe either, is it? Oh well.

  7. Suniverse - You are welcome. It's terrible, I know.

FoggyDew - I know. I'm not saying I feel good about it. It just is.

I think you have to be our age or older, no?

We do have a couple silver spoons we got as gifts. He chomps on them, though, and these are supposed to be easier on the gums. But I didn't know about the antibacterial. That's good to know.
