The way it is now

We added our modest contribution to Boobquake DC.

There was nary a seismic tremor, but I think it's because there just weren't enough scantily-clad women. Seriously, it was a very small group.

There were, however, a ton of journalists. I assume they were expecting a larger turnout and perhaps more flesh.

J and I mostly skulked around in the background, but a couple journalists chatted with us.

So we wound up in a couple shots, it turns out.

Last night our contractor called Nick and said, "Hey! I just saw Lisa on the news!"

And Nick was all, "Yes, yes. That's the way it is now. I go to work and Lisa goes to Boobquake."

And there you have it.

  1. So crazy. Before I saw this I was reading WaPo online and clicked on the little video they had about Boobquake. Imagine my surprise when you popped up about a minute and a half into the video. Hilarious!!

  5. I didn't go to Vancouver's boobquake because of work. I'm really disappointed that I didn't go because it would have been nice to support the THREE women who showed up. Yes, only three women showed up for Vancouver's boobquake and two of them were completely topless. I'm not kidding. Something got lost in translation, I think.

  6. Excellent outfit choice! You look great - and your face is expressive, not weird.

Yay for teaching J about the power of free, erm... speech, at such an early age!

  8. I can picture J years from now telling his friends... "Remember that massive earthquake in 2010? My mom's boobs caused that - and I was there."

    :-P

  10. Not for nothing, but Dagny's being too polite, your facial expressions are a mix of adorable but weird, and generally expressive, but the weird is in there.

  11. @restaurant refugee: It is entirely possible that my baseline for weird is different from other people's.

  12. Hillary - I've seen pictures! This makes me appreciate Canada even more!

Dagny - Oh, thank you all around. And yes, free speech! Etc!

HKW - He was pre-nap and grumpy. Wouldn't crack a smile. Grr.

VVK - Hahaha! Oh, the power! If only!

Go-Betty - Ah, yes. That was probably my 15 seconds! :)

Refugee - But do I always do that? Eee!
